Shipping Information

How do I obtain my tracking number?

The tracking number for each day’s shipped orders will be sent via email by 6:00pm Pacific Standard Time.

Return Policy

Items (new and unopened) may be returned for full credit within 30 days of delivery (excludes all shipping charges which are non-refundable). Items that are opened or returned past the 30-day mark will receive partial credit based on Silicon Forensics' approval. All returned products must be in original packaging with original accessories, manuals, etc.

Customers must request an RMA number for all items prior to returning them back to Silicon Forensics. Please note that all returned items must have a store-issued RMA number. Returned items without valid RMA numbers will be refused.

*Special order items cannot be exchanged or returned for credit.

Software Policy

The Software Policy supersedes any policy in cases of conflict. Opened software cannot be exchanged or returned for credit. For software warranty coverage please contact the manufacturers directly.

SiShield Warranty Statement

SiShield Warranty: Silicon Forensics offers a 3-year warranty for parts and labor on forensic workstations, SiServ servers, SiStor storage servers, and Road Warrior laptops, as well as a 1-year warranty on batteries. The following warranty terms apply to the contiguous United States. International RMAs are addressed on a case-by-case basis.

Within the warranty period:

  1. Accidental and physical damages that occur within the first 30 days are covered. This excludes damages caused by water, fire, chemicals, and the elements.
  2. At any point during the warranty period, the customer may request to ship the complete unit back for repairs. Weekly updates will be provided on its status as it undergoes repairs. 
    • Loaner systems may be provided upon request. Please note that loaner systems may not match the specs of the original system and are meant to act as a placeholder until the end user has received the repaired system. 
    • Approximate lead time for 1-2 loaners: One week 
    • 2nd-day shipping for loaners available upon request
  3. Silicon Forensics pays for 2nd-day shipping both ways within the first 90 days after delivery. From 90 days to 1 year, Silicon Forensics pays for either 2nd-day shipping one way or ground shipping both ways. After 1 year, Silicon Forensics pays for return ground shipping back to the customer only.
  4. The customer also has the option to ship back the standalone defective part(s) for replacement. If required, the customer may also request advance replacement of these parts during the warranty period.
    • Data drives do not need to be returned for replacement; however, we may ask that the customer return the drive cover for the attached serial number.

Standard Warranty Statement

  1. For domestic customers who experience product defects in non-SiShield-covered products, Silicon Forensics will cover return ground shipping up to 60 days after the product has been delivered. For international orders or orders that have passed the 60-day period, the customer is responsible for shipping the defective product back to the Silicon Forensics office.
    • If a replacement part is required, Silicon Forensics will cover ground shipping for the replacement.
