Return Policy

Items (new and unopened) may be returned for full credit within 30 days of delivery (excludes all shipping charges which are non-refundable). Items that are opened or returned past the 30-day mark will receive partial credit based on Silicon Forensics' approval. All returned products must be in original packaging with original accessories, manuals, etc.

Customers must request an RMA number for all items prior to returning them back to Silicon Forensics. Please note that all returned items must have a store-issued RMA number. Returned items without valid RMA numbers will be refused.

*Special order items cannot be exchanged or returned for credit.

Software Policy

The Software Policy supersedes any policy in cases of conflict. Opened software cannot be exchanged or returned for credit. For software warranty coverage please contact the manufacturers directly.

SiShield Warranty Statement

1. Silicon Forensics offers 3 year warranty for parts and labor on Forensic workstations, SiServ servers, SiStor Storage Servers, and Road Warrior Laptops, as well as 1 year warranty on batteries.
2. Accidental and physical damages that occur within the first 30 days are covered. This excludes damages caused by water, fire, chemicals, and the elements.
3. Silicon Forensics pays for 2nd day shipping both ways within the first 90 days of purchase. From 90 days to 1 year, we either pay for 2nd day shipping one way or ground shipping both ways. After 1 year, we pay for return ground shipping back to the customer only. 
4. Customer has the option to ship the complete unit back for repairs or just defective parts for replacement.
5. Customer may request advance replacement of parts during warranty period.
6. Parts costing less than $30 do not need to be returned.
7. Data drives do not need to be returned for replacement; however, we may ask that the customer returns the drive cover for the attached serial number.
8. The warranty listed above applies to US locations. International shipping locations are arranged on a case-by-case basis.
