CRU Forensic ComboDock v5.5
The Forensic ComboDock™ is a professional hard drive write blocker with read/write capabilities.
The CRU WiebeTech Forensic ComboDock v5 is an easy-to-use, professional-grade, dual dock with a plethora of host and drive connections allowing forensic investigators, technicians, or cybersecurity analysts the ability to view, evaluate, or image a drive safely. This professional hard drive write-blocker with read/write capabilities offers professional drive write blocking, dual-mode flexibility, and reliable evidence protection, all with simple operation.
To use, simply connect a suspect hard drive to the Forensic ComboDock v5, plug-in power, and attach to a host computer. The drive connector enables automatic alignment and easy insertion. When turned on, the Forensic ComboDock v5 asks you to choose either write blocking or read/write mode. If you need to modify the contents of a suspect drive, switch the Forensic ComboDock v5 into temporary read/write mode.
Even though switching from write blocker mode to read/write more is easy, the Forensic ComboDock v5 makes it impossible to unintentionally turn off write blocking. This prevents problems that can occur if you forget to change the mode back to write blocking.
The Forensic ComboDock v5 has USB 3.0/2.0, eSATA, FireWire 400, and FireWire 800 connections, and works natively with the most common types of hard drives such as IDE/PATA and SATA. But if you need to work with a non-standard drive there are a variety of adapters for additional flexibility.
Whether you are a forensic investigator, technician, or cybersecurity analyst, the CRU WiebeTech Forensic ComboDock v5 is an essential component for your professional toolkit.
