Big Brother is an audio surveillance system designed for law enforcement use in interview rooms, jail lockups and polygraph rooms. This system can be used anywhere a high quality, long-term audio recording is desired & permitted.
What it does
Records high quality, low noise sound, at 16bit, 22,050 Hz sample rate, stereo audio 24/7 for up to a year, at your local or remote site. Records up to 8 mono channels, 4 stereo channels or a mix of both. In addition, it allows restricted access to the recorded audio over your agency's local computer network. Easy to use application allows investigators to copy (via Drag & Drop) one-hour blocks of recorded audio from this remote system to their computer desktop. The recordings can then be reviewed, and archived.
How it works
This Windows based computer runs on our MP3 audio encoder program. The program records the audio into one-hour MP3 files. These one hour long files are time stamped and cataloged for easy referencing and transporting over the network. The audio signal is picked up by “Knowles” hearing aid microphones and amplified by low noise, high quality Preamp. The audio is digitized by a low noise soundcard, and then fed to the system's hard drive. This system has been in use by law enforcement agencies since 2005 with great success.
